And now I'm Lovey

We received on Wednesday the letter you wrote sitting on the log on Sunday. You make my mouth water when you talk about all that delicious sea food. Always meant to ask you how you got to church on Sunday but you answered that in your letter. Dad got a kick out of your French.
We received the invitation to Pierre's wedding - you included. It's August 28th at 10 A.M. - reception at the Sambo (very nice, expensive place). So guess we'll have to get dickied up for that and buy ourselves a dress. At that date, it will have to be Fall clothes. ...
We bought a counter frigidaire for the cottage - really beautiful - so with our new stove the kitchen will look nice. Dad is going to install the stove this weekend. We are taking Sue up with us tonight and John and Joan will join us sometime over the weekend.
As you probably know, this being Friday, my holidays start tonight...
That will be the week you'll be coming home HORREH! ...
(Maybe you can steam a 5 cent stamp off of one of the self addresed envelopes I gave you - that is if you're broke - Ha Ha)
Bill had the launching of the boat. Too bad I couldn't have gone as Bill said they had a blast. "WHAT ME WORRY" was christened - Janice broke the bottle of champagne over the boat (what a waste) Then they all drank toasts. Bill said it sails beautifully.
Pat has been sick in bed all week. The Dr. said he must have drank bad water. Dad said it was water he drank on the way tot he Tower as Dad said there is swamps there. Tony said he didn't get sick although he drank the same water, but he said he's used to bad water in Italy. Pat's father told Dad that Pat has a weak stomach. Tony said Pat had a letter from you. So guess he must have enoyed getting a letter seeing he has been so sick.
...
Sue said she never saw a fire-fly in her life (those bugs that light up). so she'll see some tonight. Hope there'll be some out. Will also take her fishing some of those little perch we caught on the other side of the lake. I wonderu if she's ever been fishing. She said the summer has been so dull a nd is counting the days til you get back, and is also waiting for a letter from you. Maybe she got one today, that is ifyou wrote. So it wil be alittle change for her to come up North and also company for me (my adopted daughter).
Going down to the cafeteria now for lunch - will continue this when I get back. Well I'm back again but now I must get down to doing some work. Have to clear up lots of bits and pieces before I leave tonight, seeing as I'll be gone for 2 weeks HIP! HIP!
Was wondering -have you worn your grey and blue woolen shorts you made or were they too warm for the climate down there?
Be a good girl and let me know as soon as you know what day you'll be arriving back home. If we are up North, will come and get you. You could always phone Henry Gauthier at Labelle if you arrive in a day earlier then you expected or something.
Love from us all
