Anchors Away

Our first daily newspaper delivered to our stateroom, "Cruise Compass" read "Day 1, Empress of the Seas, Depart San Juan, Puerto Rico, Monday, December 19, 2005 -Welcome to the first day of the most amazing vacation of your life. This cruise vacation will be filled with boatloads of activities, wonderful adventures and unforgettable experiences. In other words, there is a lot to do and see." Wow, I thought, this sounds amazing! The first thing on my "to do" list was check out when the formal nights were going to be and to book the Portofino for those nights. It wasn't difficult to do this because there was a display of the wine package available plus a sample Portofino table on I forget which deck. Hey, give the kid a break, we just got on board. Anyway, Ben and I were all gungho and in there like Flint (who are gungho & Flint by the way? -- darn that book I didn't buy on our last cruise, anyway!) reserving the Portofino for Tuesday, Sunday (Christmas Day, duh!), and Monday night that was to be a special Murder Mystery night. Count us in!
