Pound it

Then there's the other greeting I will always remember from this Alaska cruise -- "Pound it" -- that our Assistant Cruise Directors, Ian and the other guy that I can never remember his name -- taught me. Make a fist and meet another fist and say "pound it." Interestingly enough, our son Christopher told me that this greeting originated with the Rappers and that it is very hygenic. Imagine, rather than high-fiving someone (so passe!) or shaking hands (how Victorian!), we can "pound" someone.
