The Korean Alphabet

There are 10 vowels in the Korean alphabet (Hangul) as compared to our English alphabet's five vowels. Chris was already practicing writing them before he left. What I wonder is, now that we are dropping vowels, as in Razr, Flickr, etcetera, what's a good ESL teacher to do?
