Day 2 of Blame it on Rio or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Dawn didn't bring me any more insights, but I thought a dip in the cool pool might. I'm not usually much of a swimmer but in my present vigourous state, I felt I could have gone one hundred laps. Superwoman had nothing on me!

Later, at the umbrella tables by
the pool, I met the guys again. "Have fun last night?", I asked. "Oh year, sure." They introduced me to some of their other friends from New York. One reminded me of my dad, balding and with that smiling face. Dave said, "This is _______", and before he could identify himself, I provided the missing word. "Dad", I said. "Year, OK", he chuckled. "I'm daddio." We all sat around under the umbrella and got acquainted.

Dave and I clearly felt drawn to each other, and soon he said he was going to his room for a nap. With a wink, I read his suggestion "Why don't you joing me later?". I thought about it, but not wanting to be rude to my new acquaintances, I stuck around for a while. Soon "Dad" was whispering in my ear "Why don't you go and see Dave. He really likes you, you know." "Oh well, why not be adventurous?", I thought.
