I have to tell you how we had our Guardian Angel with us the whole time on this trip -- Carolyn. You see, Maureen, Susan and Cathy's sister Carolyn passed on on the 13th of August (the 8th month). She reminded us of her presence many times during our journey: In the Vancouver Port Authority waiting room as I've blogged before; Cathy & Mo's stateroom number added up to 8 and ours, #2524 to 13; being taken to Table 67 -- 13 -- for lunch; hearing the elusive Captain Visser make an announcement of the ship's longtitude and latitude at a particular moment during our voyage, and you guessed it -- another 13! I may have forgotten a few other reminders, so, girls please let me know so that I can include them in my blog. I just want to say a "thank you" to Carolyn, to agreeing to my being the 1 who shared this unforgettable cruise with her 3 sisters!

I loved your description of the relevance of the number 13. The little angel representing Carolyn was so cute. I have to tell you I got chills up my spine when you said you were the "1 to shae the cruise with her 3 sisters". Sometime last week I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night, and realized that I'd been dreaming about the cruise, and our discussions of the number 13. I distinctly remember marvelling about the realization that you "were my No. 1 Friend, and that Cathy, Maureen and I were 3 sisters".....I even thought at the time that I would have to call you and tell you about my dream, but then I forgot in the morning. I guess great minds think alike, or we're psychic or something!
