Golden North Hotel and adjacent Mountain. Posted by Picasa
It is obvious in this pic that the population of Skagway is 870 year-round residents, although it generally fluctuates from about 650 in January to more than 1,250 in July with the influx of summer workers. The largest, 5 - 6 % of residents, are Native Alaskans of mostly Tlingit (pronounced Clink-it) origin.
