Orca (killer) whale in the distance!
I don't know if I can find the words to do this spectacle that unfolded before our eyes, justice. You see, we were treated to nature at its rawest and most primordial. A Dall's porpose being hunted -- and subsequently caught -- by a group of transient whales! Our naturalist could not contain his enthusiasm and had to put down the microphone. We were mesmerized by what we saw. At first, we thought it was some kind of a joke by the cat's crew, because they started to play the theme from "Jaws". But lo and behold, nature unfolded before our very eyes. Awesome, jaw-dropping it was ! And thanks to Jean and Tom, they recorded the event by video and I am so very grateful that they have promised to send me a coy of their DVD. I for one had not mastered my new -- thanks to Ben and the boys -- digital camera's features, so could not record what we saw at this point. It took all I had just to release the shutter at the right nanosecond in order to capture the Orca on film.
