The colour of Mendenhall lake from Mendenhall Glacier is due to what is called Mendenhall flour -- the silt from the Glacier. It is of such a fine consistency, that it is called flour. We were able to feel it in a sample on the next part of our tour -- on the catamaran to whale watch ! Stay tuned!!
